Updates

So, I reformatted my home and work computers, and reinstalled xp pro and home, repectively.

Guess what doesn’t still work? I did throw together a workaround that works for b2evo, however, by throwing this up at the top of the _config.php:if(!isset($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'])) //IIS
{
if(isset($_SERVER['URL'])) //ISAPI
$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] = $_SERVER['URL'];
elseif(isset($_SERVER['PATH_INFO'])) //CGI/FastCGI
$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] = $_SERVER['PATH_INFO'];
if (isset($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) //Made a $_GET request
$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] .= ‘?’ . $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'];
}
if(!isset($_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'])) $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'] = $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'];

And if it wasn’t blatantly obvious to me already that some serious reorganization needs to be done in support, it is now. I don’t envy any tech who starts with the company now and has to set up a computer with all the required software. Man, what an exercize in time-wasting. The worst thing about bad systems is that they are self-preserving, almost as if they have a life of their own. I had planned on spending yesterday and today working on the beginnings of the intranet, but that didn’t happen. I’m kinda hoping Josh wouldn’t mind extending our meeting until after the weekend so that I’ll have time to actually get something decent put together.

[UPDATE 2004-05-07]
As of version 0.9, b2evolution will be including this by default.
